There are jobs everywhere in China. For the majority of the good one’s, you need some contacts. But, one can come, and many do, without konwing anyone nor speaking Chinese, and still make a decent living. At a minimum one can teach English, and private classes can garner you from U$20- 35 per hour. If you have a specialty, however, like dancing, singing, golfing etc. You can do this, target the affluent and make a ton. It is also possible to come, just meet people, maybe take a job that you feel is beneath you, just to get your foot in the door and then network. I am one of the few that I know who came here with a real job beforehand, so just try it.
